B12 and B vitamin intramuscular injections
What is it?
B complex vitamins are an effective way to increase B vitamin levels rapidly. They can be valuable when we want to achieve a therapeutic effect that requires getting higher amounts of the vitamin into the circulation than what is achievable through oral supplementation. Injections are often useful when a digestive concern, like Crohn's disease or Celiac disease, prevents adequate absorption from dietary or supplemental sources.
Our Naturopathic physicians routinely give B vitamin shots to our clients as needed. They are extremely safe and cause only temporary, and typically mild, discomfort.
