Victoria Spaurel, Registered Acupuncturist
Victoria Spaurel is a dedicated Acupuncturist having graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria BCin 2005. Her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) philosophy and diagnostic theory is deeply rooted in long-developed holistic beliefs in true health and wellness.
Since Victoria could walk and talk, she has collected information related to health and the human body and used 'pressure points', diet, exercise and stretching to self-treat and to treat family members and pets.
It’s not surprising that Victoria, who began observing patterns of health and disease at a very early age, has developed a keen ability to identify and effectively treat patterns of disharmony with regard to the health of patients. Victoria began her career in the field of health as a British Columbia Parks and Recreation Association accredited Personal Trainer. Victoria then went on to study Massage Therapy in 1995 where she was introduced to the concept of Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and acupuncture as a component of her course work. Victoria went on to practice Massage Therapy in her own busy clinic in her hometown of Whitehorse, Yukon before going on to school to study TCM.
In clinic, Victoria has had tremendous success assisting patients to reach their health goals. She uses a narrative approach to patient interviews, which helps build trust and enriches her understanding of the concerns at hand. Treatments are always designed and paced to suit her patients. Victoria enjoys working closely with people of all ages and walks of life to create realistic a treatment plan for each individual. Victoria Spaurel, is a life long learner and has recently begun teaching at the Pacific Rim College of Acupuncture in downtown Victoria BC.
In her spare time, Victoria loves spending time outdoors with her family, swimming, hanging out with friends or curled up on the couch watching movies.
